France – Restoration and redevelopment
The conservative restoration project and the renovation of this Château in the Loire includes a restoration of the facades and external compositional elements, the internal frescoes, the historic plaster and wood frames and the ancient boiseries. A major intervention was carried out to consolidate damaged wooden floors with their partial replacement. Particular attention was paid to the renovation of the parquet and stone or marble floors, with replacement only of the damaged areas, using wood or marble. A redistribution of the internal spaces was carried out with the creation of four new bathrooms on the first floor serving the suites where they were not previously present. The intervention respected the historicity of the building, maintaining the integrity of the original architectural and artistic elements, while ensuring comfort and usability for modern users. The work was completed by the restoration of the furnishings and reproducing them according to the historical designs of the time.
